Hello! Wow, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? We’ve been busy busy busy fostering, getting married, and going on our honeymoon! We’re back now, and ready to hit the road running and blog again.
Meet Sinclair! I fell in love with this sweet boy’s face when he was first posted as “needing rescue” on the BARCS Facebook page. I admit, I’ve always had a soft spot for huge goofy ears! At the time, we had another foster dog and couldn’t take him in, but I promised that if he was still in need after Isis was adopted that I would get him out.
Fast forward a month, with Isis adopted and our wedding the following weekend, Sinclair still had not been adopted or rescued. I told my colleagues at Jasmine’s House that I would like to pull him as my next foster after I returned from our honeymoon. Well, while we were gone, poor Sinclair’s time ran out at the shelter. Thankfully, Jasmine’s House heard about it and got him out of there for me! When we got back on the 10th, he was waiting for me.
Sinclair has turned out to be an amazing dog! He is low energy, very tolerant of other dogs, and loves every person he meets. He already knows sit, down, and stay, and pretty much nothing bothers him. He’s a total gentleman in public. He seems like he would make an awesome therapy dog. So I thought, I wonder if I can get him ready to take a Canine Good Citizen test at Dogfest next weekend?
So, over the next few days, Sinclair will be taking a crash course in obedience training! I will video as much of it as I can, and keep you updated on his progress. Wish us luck!
