Has your sweet little puppy turned into a teenaged hooligan? Is your recently adopted young dog driving you bonkers? If your pup is between the ages of 5 months and 2 years, you are smack in the middle of doggy adolescence. Just like the human equivalent, teenaged dogs can be QUITE the handful!
Join us in Sykesville to learn how to train, manage, exercise, and occupy your Terrible Teen. These classes will be fast paced and fun for your energetic teen!
Who it’s for:
Dogs between the ages of 5 months and 2 years old, who are comfortable in a group environment around other dogs and people. (Older dogs are also welcome.)
How it works:
Class is what we call “rolling enrollment”. Once you register for class, you can start any time there is an opening, and choose the class sessions you want. Have to go out of town? No problem! Just don’t sign up for that week’s session. You can even mix and match days and times!
Everyone works at their own pace, so not only can you miss a class without falling behind, but you also don’t need to worry if your pup learns something faster or slower than everyone else.
Here’s what one of our clients has to say about our rolling enrollment classes:
“I love that this is the way you teach classes. Having been through 2 standard beginning classes, I like this set up much more. I end up learning a lot and I can work at the dog’s (and my) pace.”
What you’ll learn:
Here are some of the things we’ll cover in class:
- Attention in distracting locations
- Walk nicely on a leash
- Leave it – impulse control
- Settle (lay down and chill)
- Come when called
- Politely greeting humans and dogs
- How to exercise body & mind
What it costs:
For $27/class, the minimum 6 session package is $162. You can sign up for as many as you like!
When and Where:
- 11:30am Saturday mornings in Sykesville off Bartholow Road
- These classes are held outdoors so you practice around the same types of distractions you see on walks!
How to sign up:
Choose your class sessions below! Make sure to choose 6 or more.
